Wellfield Hotel – Asset of Community Value

Many of you will remember campaigning to register the Wellfield Hotel as an asset of community value back in 2016. At the time, a planning application had been submitted to convert the pub into apartments.

Once a building goes onto the register it means that the purpose of the building cannot be changed and also that if the owner decides to sell then the community must be given the opportunity to buy the building.

The building is no longer on the list as the entry expired and the pub was sold to new owners earlier on in the year. So we think it’s time to get it back on the list.

We are working with Phyll Cullen and the Friends of Beech Hill to submit an application to nominate it again as an asset of community value.

We need the supporting signatures of 21 residents who are registered on the electoral role.
If this is something that you would like to support, please fill in the form below.
